"The first thing I noticed was the age range. Some probably just into their teens and a couple nearer their umpteens but all concentrating so hard on their ringing and each an equal as the teams rang.
We had a super time in the tower, and because the ringers were so patient learnt an awful lot. There was a friendly, joyful air amongst them but the concentration and desire to get it right was evident from the most to the least experienced. No wonder that ringers as a whole are such a happy bunch."
